Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

I murdered out my truck(Painted it flat black). The only shiny things on the truck are the bumpers and the mirrors and the rims(they will be black soon). My brother is fabricating a 666 box to go over the GMC in the grill to that I will be putting a red light it so the 666 lights up. Oh yea I still get 8 or less mpg and my exaust some how got cut off right b4 the converter

Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

I put in a new thermostat and one set of brakes. I did find out that I need new calipers I can't open the drivers side one enough to get the new pads on and the bleeders are rusted in and broken off on both sides... the brake fluid looks like mud.
Anybody have some Calipers and some free time?

Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

Had a "hall pass" this weekend. My girl went out of town so I just caught up on some rest and dragged out the paint and did some pinstriping.

Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

It's been a while since I have posted anything. That's because I have been real busy getting my truck back on the road. I have done a ton of stuff to it. I installed the Holley carb, new distributor, new fuel pump, bent up a new line up to the carb, stripped the entire front clip down to bare metal and sprayed 2 coats of PPG DP90LF and 3 coats of sandable sealer primer. I painted the inner fenders inside and outside with undercoating, painted the underside of the hood, the firewall and core support. I tumble cleaned every bolt that I have accumilated over the last 2 years of junking and organized them by the design on the heads, then they were all painted! I also primed my new tailgate, rear cross sill, and roll pan. Needless to say I have been shaking it down and actuall drove it to work today! I will need to get the air conditioning going as it was 100 degrees here yesterday and it will be close to that again today!! Here are a few pictures that don't do it any justice. I need to get a few outside in the light!

Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

I was sick all weekend with some sort of stomach virus, and I missed the board meet at the horse track on Sunday, today is the first day I have felt half decent.

Re: what did you get done 5/18 edition

Did some work on the t350.stage 2 shift kit (it doesn't fool around now!) rear seal, new oring on the trans end of the speedo.
Helped dad change their pond in the yard. Now has two streams and waterfalls .
Helped out in the greenhouse when needed
Pulled some walleye out of the South Saskatchewan with the old man too.
Went to see the bodyman who was doing my 72.....he is now fired. That was the the only bad part of an otherwise great weekend!
