67Fleet had 2 3-gallon tanks mounted outside the frame rails hidden by the bed just behind the wheels. I mounted a 5 gallon tank between the frame rails.

3 gallon tanks can be straddled on either side of the driveshaft with some simple bracketry.

I have a 68 in the shop right now that we mounted a fat 5 gallon tank in the rear where a fuel cell would normally go... is this where you're referring to? If so, I can get some pics for ya. We made a bracket/tray that holds the compressors/valves/tank. It fits nice and keeps it all hidden, but will not work if you want to get rid of the factory fuel tank behind the seat.

I was able to fit a 5 gal. tank under the bed ,on the pass. side outside frame rail ,in front of the back wheel. Its really close to the bed floor supports but it does fit without hanging down too low , you can't see it from the side either.

Cool, did you get the tank off ebay, or from suicide doors?

Well I searched, but I forgot I deleted all the pics on my digital camera the other day. I got the tank off of someone else that had it on a mustang. I believe it came from Suicide Doors though.

I've got two 3-gallon tanks mounted to the outside of the frame on each side behind the rear wheels. Keep exhaust routing in mind when placing your tanks. I have my mufflers mounted where XXL mounted his tanks.

That would put the dumps at/under the back of the cab... noisy and probably not to fun to breathe. There should be plenty of room for exhaust to run through that general area, and to the back.

Did you see that finger in your pics, it keeps showing up?
