Here's the website and the phone number is right on the home page. Maybe you can still catch them tonight and possibly progress further along on your project. Good Luck.

have used two of the 21 circuit kits. Are you using an oem alternator? I run a one wire alt. myself. I can try and take a look at it......

Re: i need help with EZ-WIRING HARNESS

I use a 1-wire alt. myself. So I can't be much help either. I needed a 100 amp alt. so I just went the simple route. I'd contact EZ, or find a custom shop that uses EZ's kit, and ask them. One I know of in Ennis, Tx is
www.freewebs.com/luckysrodandkustom

I bought my A/C kit from him and he was more than happy to answer a few dumb wiring questions I had along the way.

That looks like a stock alternator. A one wire alternator is just that ...One Wire
Can't remember how it all hooks up but your EZ harness should have another wire called an Exciter Wire. You'll need that wire also for the alternator pictured.

FYI...I recommend you change that glass filter. Although it looks pretty. It will vibrate against one of those brackets. If it breaks, you'll redefine the phrase "fueling the fire". Most all the board members would suggest that you NOT use that glass filter four your safety and your trucks safety.

Re: i need help with EZ-WIRING HARNESS

Cut the red wire going to the ign. sw. Connect each end to the 2 wires coming from n/s sw. Check the last page of the instructions that came with your harness. It is explained there.

Re: i need help with EZ-WIRING HARNESS

Think of it like a river. The red wire (riverbed) and the electricity (water) the electricity flows from the ignition switch, through the neutral safety switch then to the starter solenoid. The electricity flows into one side of the neutral safety switch and then out the otherside of the switch...

Re: i need help with EZ-WIRING HARNESS

Not gonna be any help tonight, but I will take pics and post some additional info. I had a lot of the same questions but with the help of a lot of guys here and at EZ Wire, I got thru it.

If you talk to the guy at EZ wire, he will give you an after hours and weekend phone number. He seems pretty familiar with our trucks to.

Re: i need help with EZ-WIRING HARNESS

The SOL (solenoid) terminal. I'd have to look at mine again to be 100% positive. But I'm pretty sure that's it.

If you have an OHM meter, just ohm the terminals, and cycle the switch. It will all be very clear then.

Are you using an HEI distributer? If so, you'll only need the tach wire (if you have a tach), and the coil wire. If it's still points type, then you'll need someone else to help you thru it. The first thing I do when I encounter a points type ignition, is throw it away and buy an HEI.
