I don't have any experince with that kit but I don't ever use or sell fan ties. They will after a while or in dusty areas saw thru the tubes on the radiator, and quickly thru aluminum radiators. Yah I know their nylon but they are ribbed and dirt get into the ribs. Alway use a shroud. The other part in this kit is they use a temp control from a furnace and you have to jam the probe thru the fins to get a temp reading. Thats the coldest parts of the system. You want you sensor in the head or second best in the manifold and the temp guage in the same place on the other side.
