Those are the stock covers. I stripped them and then clear coated the bare steel. My vavle cover is the "Chevrolet script" chrome, I actually got it from an old tractor. They can be hard to find.

Yes you do have to run dual exhaust at least for a few feet. I got them off ebay for dirt cheap. You can find alot of parts on Ebay.
