I hate everything about that. Grill, color, interior, wheels, body mods, doors - all of it. It obvious it took a lot of $$$ and skill, but all they accomplished was butchering a Blazer, IMO. I see this on ebay in 10 years when the wheels and styling are out of date, and we'll all be laughing at it and saying how ridiculous his price is like all the 80's and 90's customs and Pro Street cars are now! I guess that's what makes the world go 'round though, right? Every butchered and crushed one makes a nice, more original one worth more.

No custom build is ever to everyones taste. That being said there are things on this I really like. Number 1 is how they built up the bed rail rather than cutting down the doors. That looks very good IMO.

I liked the side markers too.

This is kind of like a concept car. There are some things that are really desirable and innovative, and others that are just over the top. I like the bed rails (as mentioned by hgs_notes), the tilt hood and the interior (although I'm not sure what happened to the rear seats shown in the rendering), the air intake and exhaust. The grill in the rendering would have been more to my tastes than the final, but beggars can't be choosers.

People give their opinions all the time on this forum, whether it was asked for or not. It's just part of it, member of the forum or not, everyone will have their opinion of the truck and everyone has a right to say what they feel. On the other hand if someone were to be bashing the owner and/or fabricator with nasty foul language, that's a whole different story.

I really didn't mean it as bashing, that's just my view on such a highly modified classic. I even said I knew a lot of skill and money went into to it. I believe strong opinions are something that go along with those types of vehicles. If the builder is like I am though, he could care less what I, or anybody else thinks. He built his vision, and that's cool. I stand by the fact that I believe he has taken the classic out a classic truck. His creation will be become dated and less disireable as times and trends change, unlike a less modified Blazer. Customs like this put an expiration date on an otherwise timeless vehicle.

To each his own, and like most of us agree the owner can do what they want to their truck. I like that 2wd Blazers are so special they are getting all this attention. Not sure if it is just me but it seems over the last 5 years there have been more and more of these high dollar custom 2wd's built. That said, I customized mine, but always looked to follow the original styling cues. But that was always my plan... And I avoided doing anything that could not be undone.
