Gas Tank Replacement Question

I am getting ready to replace my tank. I know that I need a hose 1 1/4 or 1 3/8. Can it be a straight hose or does it have to be corrugated because it has a bend in it. The reason I am asking is I have checked every parts store and Marina in the Washington DC Metro Area. Thats a lot of parts store and Marinas. No one has it or says they can order it. I have found some straight hose on line. So I have to have what I need when I tear it a part. No running to the local stores for help.
Thanks

Re: Gas Tank Replacement Question

You will need 1 3/8" fuel hose. My local rubber hose supply has it in stock and it is straight with a thin metal rod running along the length of the tube. If memory serves me right it is about $10 per foot.

Call up a hydraulic supply/repair center and see if they by chance have it or know of a source.

You've probably already seen this thread that is kinda the bible on this subject, but if not, it will give you some good info on tank replacement issues.
