I'm with Larry in that I was just thinking of hydroboost as an alternative in this situation but I realize the OP already has a unit he wishes to use. I believe there are only two hydro lines to run from the power steering pump to the hydroboost. They work very well and are a smaller diameter package than the conventional vacumn boosters. More clearance for a big block.
If the OP is set on using the 73 up assembly he may be able to heat and bend the shifting linkage to gain some clearance. Or trade his unit for the corrrect one for his truck.
