Vintage Air has one that will fit, but you may have to make a very short glove box.
I don't know if you can see this one but it is in a Speed 33 and has a brake/M/C AND A/C under the passenger side.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

it started as wrx impreza race car blue. I dont remember the paint code or anything. 63490 comes to mind though...can try that number at napa since its martin senior.

honestly I wouldnt use it though. It doesnt cover for anything and has over $800 in pearl per gallon.

damn whats up man, lol.... yeah I think one day I will run a shop but for now I want my mechanical engineering degree and we'll go from there.

Im really not sure on a system. For now I don't have much of anything planned but a slick center console ...but I really just don't know. I may throw a couple of 8's in it through with some components in the kicks....but I doubt it. I wish a company would come out with a HU with a built in amp. That'd be nice.

I've thrown around the idea of a car pc and using that to drive stuff, mostly my engine tune and stuff...but it could run stereo as well...like I said Im just going to have to see.

I really dont use the air in any of my dads cars when I cruise them. thats why i chose no air. I will probably add air later on though, no heater or defrost, just air.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

more line....been drilling and tapping holes like crazy. The airlines are basically done. The brake lines are 95%. The fuel lines are just started and run over the notch. Need to figure out how Im going to connect them to the tank and how I will finish them to the engine. the pics are confusing so bare with me.

I have moser axles that go to 5 on 5.5

so everyone run out to your nearest news stand and pickup the copy of superchevy with the baddd nova on the cover. Our wagon got a 4 page spread and this truck got a sentence in there, LOL.

but as some of you know we have a hurricane coming so we'll see what happens.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

I should have an update wednesday. Im at school(LSU) right now but I go home for thanksgiving. Im planning to rip apart my t-56, cut it up, and when reassembled the shifter will be about 10" forward of where it is now.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

lol, yeah weird.

Im currently waist deep in modding my t56 for center shift and it sucks. Very bad.

And that is just a regular ls1, for now. But I thinking ~1.5 liters more displacement and twin hairdryers would make it move nicely. Not sure how crazy I want to go yet. either way for now its just an ls1, and I have a wild cam to put it in.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

gettin back to work.

bolted the IAT in the air filter and it hit the TPS, so I worked on that tonight.

how it looked...

inside view which raises the concern I had of drilling through that lip and not having the bit walk.

in the drill press..

shot of the hole and the bit I used..

back cut the lip...

tapped

assembled

IAT and new blue plug...

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

we had an s-10 in the shop that is a total so I took the PCM mount out of it.

air filter mounted...also see the steam line I ran in the water pump...

fan controller...

started to run the vacuum line for the booster...

and started to section the dip stick...

cut...

in pieces...

I was going to weld it all back up and section the actual dip stick tonight when I got home but its like 1:20am and I want to go to sleep.

will update tomorrow.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

looks good, I like the hard lines, Spal makes good stuff, I have their dual fans on my vette but they had troubles with the electronic controller. it had a high failure rate. they even quit selling it at one time. they were having it made by someone else. mine use a simple temp probe and a relay to turn them on like this

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/SPAL-F...NSOR,5350.html

if they are selling them again they might have the problem fixed. just wanted to give you a heads up.

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy

pcm mounted...

spot the battery...

just a reg napa...no real power demands in this truck so I really dont feel a super duper optima or the like is worth it.

preweld fit of the dipstick tube...

to shorten the actual dipstick I first drilled a new roll pin hole

then drove the tiny tiny roll pin out and took the handle off...

trimmed it and reassembled...

took like 7" out of it...

whole thing...
