AAAARRRRRRRGH!
I just read through 26 pages of postings and I get to the end.....and he parts it out! Not surprising though....he did post that he had a serious girlfriend....same thing happened to me when I was 18 and my priorities changed too. lol Mike

Re: Senior Project Build
****. I go back and re-read my entire thread and feel pangs of heartache. Looking at all the trouble I went through, and how I was so close to being done at the end. I hope everyone who reads this learns from my mistakes! If I could go back I would never have sold it, even if I lost interest. Just park it until you get that spark again. I hope everyone here is doing well, I am sorry to have let you down. I am considering tracking down the guy I sold it to and trying to buy it back. Oh but how life's priorities change. Now I only buy project cars that run and drive from the start haha. I will keep checking in on this thread to maybe help answer any questions. Take care everyone

Re: Senior Project Build
Well I can't get a hold of the guy, I will try driving by his place. If anything just to see if he ever put a motor in it ( I sold it as a roller). I can't afford more junk right now anyways haha.
As far as projects go, I have been messing around with old BMW's, I have an old 3 series coupe I would like to swap the same LS motor into. I have also been making some money buying/selling/parting out old air cooled VW stuff. I also helped a buddy get his '55 Stepside project going. I will post a picture It makes me proud to see how many people were following the build, and sad to let you down. If I end up doing more LS stuff or old trucks I will definitely let you guys know |

Re: Senior Project Build
Here is the '55
I have given it the sweet rattle can paint, we rebuilt the stock brakes, and dropped in the cleaned up 350. Pretty simple Last edited by LuckyHenriksen; 09-12-2010 at 12:43 AM. |

Re: Senior Project Build
I am glad I didn't read all the pages and skipped to the end cause I was inspired and still am. You really put alot of money in parts and your like me. We put all the money into things change it and end up selling it or trading it and losing alot of our money. I learned though not to long ago not to do that again.

Re: Senior Project Build
I know this thread is a lil old but I just finished reading the whole thing and I agree it sucked to see it go but I have also been in the same boat with too many projects and not enough time money or space but what I was wondering is if Lucky or anyone else knows where the frame stands he used are from I looked on Transdapt website and cant find them

Re: Senior Project Build
Hey everyone! Just checking back in here for the new year. I have really gotten into the old BMW's (don't hate ) and decided to turn it into a business. The name of my shop is Vintage European, I specialize in providing quality used parts and I also take on all sorts of performance/enthusiast oriented work. I have done late model M3 engine swaps into the older chassis, performance suspension installs, etc. I know this isn't your guys' cup 'o tea but I thought you might be interested to see what I have been up to lately.
Here is a link to my shop blog, I just started it so it is fairly sparse but I will be updating it regularly. Vintage European Shop Blog Oh, and for the record, I am still planning on doing an LSx swap into one of these old Bavarian's pretty soon Keep up the good work everyone |
