All,

I read the instructions on the manual to power brake upgrade in the FAQs, but it didn't mention having to do anything with the brake lights. What I did was remove the brake master from the firewall, bolted the booster and bracket assembly to the firewall, hooked up the new power brake rod to the pedal and bracket.

The brakes work great, but the brake lights always stay on. I checked the connector, and it is fully seated on the proportioner. What do I need to do here? Anyone have this problem?

I think the wire going to the proportioning valve is the brake warning light.

Alright, that makes sense. I crawled up under the dash and I didn't see anything. I suppose the pedal position has something to do with it as the pedal moves maybe 1/2 as much and it is now positioned closer to the firewall.

The brake light switch.You probably need to adjust it.It is held "OFF" by the brake pedal arm.Look and you will see.I'll almost bet you a cold one.

.. I just had the same problem after the same mod and it was the brake light switch. Like Panel said, and it's a bugger to get to....

Is the brake light switch up near the backside of the instrument panel? And what's the best way to adjust this?

The brake light switch is up over the brake pedal arm. It should be plastic and have a nut on both sides of the mount to adjust it to go off when the pedal is released.

It's the white piece with wires from it, the pedal needs to hold the button down to turn the lights off.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
