Nathan is at it again....
I just picked up the Oct 2008 issue of Street Trucks mag this morning. In the "word on the street" section is a picture and note about Porterbuilt's new project. Since the mag is written about 3 months before newsstand date, I wonder if Nathan has some up dates? Hope he checks in and gives up some spy pics...

Re: Nathan is at it again....
Article calls it "Project C-06". "74 short fleetside, twin turbo LS1, 1.5" chopped top, suicide doors, 22/24 inch wheel combo, complete Porterbuilt tube chassis with C4 Corvette suspension and Baer brakes. Carter Hickman Designs did the rendering. But I can't find a picture online anywhere. Maybe someone can scan the pic.

Re: Nathan is at it again....
Not sure why I picked it up except for that small add on one local Tahoe is in it and another Texas truck that I like, I usually do not get it either.
I hope someone can find a pic of Nathan's project, the small article was a rendering of the project, looks awsome. Maybe Nathan will chime in...

Re: Nathan is at it again....
I liked Street Strucks more after they reorg'd it. They have a good editorial staff who have built some pretty cool trucks.

Re: Nathan is at it again....
Not bad. I generally don't like lowered trucks, but that's pretty cool. I like the color scheme too, the three go together really well. The only thing is the rear. I don't like the new vette's, so I'm kind of biased. I really like the hood though. I'd like to see that available aftermarket.

Re: Nathan is at it again....
I remember seeing that truck and never heard anything since. Hopefully since the rendering is 1 1/2 yr old hopefully it is almost complete.
Would be interesting to see an update. |

I'm not a big fan, it may look better in metal than it does on paper though...

Re: Nathan is at it again....
I think its sick. Very good design and the thought to meld the two together was well thought out.

Re: Nathan is at it again....
The project was put on hold (before it ever really started). I have a pallet rack full of parts (corvette suspension/16" 6 piston Baer brakes/LS motor/turbos/ air suspension... etc.) Hoping to get a call one day saying that it's time to build it.

Re: Nathan is at it again....
I am sure that pallet is taking up valuable space in the shop. I'll be a good buddy and come free up that space for you. No, no, it's ok I insist.
