It's the govenor cover. Yes it can leak especially if someone used a screwdriver to pry it out. As far as fixing a leak from there,,,,,,Could always try removing the cover, gasket sealer (ritestuff, permatex, sillycone) and putting the cover back in.
I've replaced cases for leaking there. Frank

Governor is on the other side of the case, and is held on with a large outer clip.
Accumulator piston is behind the cover. The cover has a large O ring around it. Usually when it leaks the spring under the cap is broken. Shove a large pick into the hole in the alum. casting to move the large C clip where you can pry it out with a small flat blade scewdriver. Then you can remove the cap and O ring. Then look at the spring to see if it is broken. They are color coded. Go to the local trans shop and get the parts needed. Last edited by kwmech; 09-11-2008 at 12:27 AM. |

So i saw today then it squirts out the side hole in the Accumulator.
Does this mean the spring is broken? What is this hole for?
