what goes behind the door locks ?

had my truck painted and was installing the new door locks. i can't figure out what attaches to the back of the key lock to make my door locks work ?. anyone have a picture ?

I think he is looking for the little bent tab that is held on with the special C clip that actually moves the two arms.

its callled a pawl....cheap part only a couple bucks on brothers, lmctrucks, just but anywhere.... http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=ODLP100 there you go....click on that link and you got both of them for 6.50....thats all you need though...and the little clip that holds it onto the lock cylinder....just did it last week for my 68...

Maybe you are talking about the pieces in the attached pics.... The technical term for them is "Lock Pawl". Some people call them a locking lever. You should be able to see the small clip that attaches them to the lock cylinder. There are two different styles but I haven't determined which one is used on what year yet. There is also a right & left so you need to make sure you get a set.
