~~~Motor Mount Question~~~
About an hour ago i got done bolting in a front crossmember from a 1987 suburban onto my 63 chevy woohoo disc brakes and five lug!, but one thing i noticed was the motor mounts from the burb dont really line up on the 63 frame too well what have you guys modified or bought to make the newer motor mounts work?? or did you just reuse the 60's style motor mounts!
Re: ~~~Motor Mount Question~~~
You have to line them up and redrill the holes. You could have just left the 63 crossmember on the truck and used everything else. Or use the later mounts in which you will have to trim the frame and redrill anyway.
Re: ~~~Motor Mount Question~~~
i felt it was easier just to swap out the whole thing, both trucks had no engines and front clips
Re: ~~~Motor Mount Question~~~
I wonder what was the need for all the wigglies. Try it without the drama. Just my opinion.
Re: ~~~Motor Mount Question~~~
For the 60 you need everything. The 60 has torsion bars is why.
