Idler/Pitman Arm Installation
Do I install them while the truck is sitting on the ground or do I jack up the front?

I'd say jacked up because you have to whack the ends with a hammer and you have more clearance with it in the air.

Don't beat them out with a hammer...use the proper puller to remove them to avoid damaging parts. A pitman arm puller is about 7 bucks at harbor freight or any parts store.

yes.....pitman is different than idler. My junk likes to be whacked...your underside might be more detailed. Use common sense
