10 inches and 38s??

I have a set of 37 inch claws and was wondering how they would look sized up with 10 inches of lift. I need some pics of a longbed 4x4 with 10 inches.

I either keep the 37s or trade them for bigger.... for my 72 project..

thanks in advance

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

i don't know if this will help..........
i have 8" lift springs on 38" tires and have no probs.......an extra two inches would be fine..................longbeds

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

Should fit fine, not even sure you need a 10" lift to pull it off either.

I'm running 42's with a 6" lift and some trimming, more in the front than the rear but it works.

1st pic is a set of 39.5's.

2nd pic is a set of 37" SSR's, same 6" lift.

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

PERSONAL OPINION:

Not sure about anyone else but after looking at pic's of VTBLAZER's 37's with 6" of lift makes me think 38's with 4" of lift should be fine! I think the 39.5's with 6" looks perfect. Better yet it isn't a skyscraper looking for an opportunity to prove Newton's law.

VTBLAZER care to share about how much you trimmed and from where? I'm ready to whip out the sawsall now!

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

First two pics you can see the intended cut line.

Other two show the actual cut/trim job.

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

I think you could get away with 8" of lift and have no problems at all. If you really need 10" go for it.

Re: 10 inches and 38s??

my body is uncut, no body lift, just the 8" super lift leaf spring kit. the only time i have had the body kiss the tire was when i was hauling a** to the mud pit....hit a rut....threw me into the wall of the pit.....and bent the bottom of my fender in about 2" give or take....barely noticeable. if i had the extra 2" i would of been fine. besides we are only talking about 1/2" inch difference between your tires and mine (37" vs 38"). then the altimate question: what are your plans mud, rocks, or a little of both....overall look out for flex..........have good time

i just rather not cut my body cause its all the orignal metal (sentimental value ). mine is for mud, and mild travel (cause i have leaf springs, oh i wish for coil overs), and having a good time.
