frame swap questions

I have a 66 lwb and am thinking of making it a swb. Can I use a frame from the 67 and newer trucks? I also have a 84 donor truck with disc brakes and pwr string, will this work as well?

Thanks

Re: frame swap questions

I believe 70 would be the cutoff for the same frame under the trucks. Dunno bout an 84 but if the cab mounts are the same, then the bed wouldn't be hard to fabricate for, just dunno the measurements on the cab mounts and length of the front end.

Re: frame swap questions

You could always cut down the 66 frame.....20 inches total
