Looking for a Mag. Please read!

A while back I remember that in one of the truck mags there was an article on making a Long bed into a Short bed. Does anyone have this mag. if so what issue and what mag was it in? I believe the used a 65 or 66 for the project.

Custom Classic Trucks July 07 issue.

By far one of the nicest 60-66's on the cover.
"Stovebolt '62"

I did a search for it and nothing.
It was the July cover just over a year ago and nothing on the website.
Lame! CCT has really dropped the ball, and I dropped my subscription.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Not exactly what your looking for but this should really help.

LFD's Project Lowbuck! He did exactly what your looking to do!

He starts cutting the Bed on page 8, and the frame on 11.

Re: Looking for a Mag. Please read!

If you go to PowerblockTV.com and then go to Trucks look for videos and you can download a show where they did a fleetside. It's pretty informative,if you're doing a fleet. If you're doing a step the frame is the same but the bed is different. That's 12" shorter between the cab mounts(remove and reposition the rear mounts)and 8" from the rear of the frame. Then drill for the bumper mounting holes.

That's what I did on a step,if I remember correctly the front of the bed is shortened 14 1/2" and the rear is 5 1/2" instead of 12" in front and 8"rear for the fleet.
