H2 wheels

No doubt this question has been posted before....I couldn't locate anything with the search. Will 2003 up Hummer H2 18" wheels work on my 1970 3/4 Ton 4x4? I found a chrome set with decent tires for $250. Just want to make sure the offset will work and no rubbing will occur. Will they need special lugs?

Thanks

Re: H2 wheels

They should work - 8 lugs are all 8x6.5 for Chevy/Hummer - Fords changed patterns to metric around 1999 (I think).

Different Lugs - yes - you will need to get 32 of the double threaded lug nuts (if you intend to run center caps) - rear dually caps from mid 80s-early 90s will work. Board member 72 Freak has a set on his Suburban and they look great - if you have ? - you may want to track him down as well.

Not sure of the thread size on 70s - my 72 uses 9/16ths thread - not sure if that is standard between years or not though. I would hate to steer you wrong. Double check what you have.

They are cheaper and easier to find here (no relation or vested interest) - just who I used - http://www.ezaccessory.com/GM_9_16_E..._p/98-0009.htm

I found one of their auctions on ebay - and bought them - $32 shipped (if I recall correctly).

Here is another post to assist you (or ask questions to the owners).

Re: H2 wheels

I have a set of the 17"'s and they bolt right up and the offset isn't too bad either.

Re: H2 wheels

Hey, thanks a bunch for your input and the link. I would love to see how these wheels look on our trucks before I get carried away. Anyone got pics of their trucks with Hummer H2 wheels?

Re: H2 wheels

They're 17 inch. I have them on my 72 4x4 with the stock h2 tires. They fit great but are close enough to barely rub the drag link end where it attaches to the pitman arm on full lock right turns. I had to adjust the steering stops on that side out a little. I think they look good, but I run them without a center cap. Sorry, no pictures on this computer. A search may find some.

Re: H2 wheels

What about a '67 4X2 C20, stock height. I have a set of H2s collecting dust. Anyone have any pointers on tire size that would work in my situation?
Maybe I should pose this question in a new thread.
