Re: Torchered

Sweet, what's the specs on the gas filler hinge you used on the tail light? Do you have a better pic of how you installed it?

To be honest it looks like a kitchen cabnet hinge mounted on the bed with an arm. then the arm has a hinge on it where it meets the tail light. Soome rubber stoppers will be added so it does not sit metal on a chropme bumper and some siuper dupoer magnets to hold the light in place when its closed.

Metal work is done, headed to blast cab then body work.

Lightbulb Re: Torchered

Moving the company this week. Needed to drop some parts off at Karolina Kustoms and get them out of my ware house.
The roof had a huge dent in it, sort of resembling a by branch falling on it. Now it looks great.

The rear seam is welded up, just waiting for some led seam sealer.

Lonnie hinted towards getting it in paint about April or May. He even hinted towards a trip to SEMA in November. I'm just shooting for the Portland Roadster show for an attempt to be invited to the Salem Roadster show. Probably the only two shows it will ever be in.

What a totally different bumper, tucks in so nice. Cool custom touch, slow work doing that but well worth it.

Re: Torchered

Thanks for the comments guys. I keep looking at the bumper from the side it it looks like it turns down. Not fully happy with it but I do not know how that could be corrected as it naturaly turns down a bit to clear the lower gill section. What do you guys think?

I don't think it is that big of a deal, and especially to others that won't even notice without being told that there is a slight imperfection. But the imperfection only comes from the builder. LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!

I suppose your right. I spoke with the shop he said they had tweeked it after I took the picture and when it get back from being blasted and panels aligned they will revisit it at that time.

At this point most items have been addressed. One of the last items is the interior. Going for a leather interior with center console. The shifter will no longer be on the steering colum and now will reside on the floor. A 70 chevelle U shifter was choosen to keep it chevy and a stock look.

Re: Torchered

Spoke with Brad at Bonspeed mid April about the wheels. He said they were in production and should be shipped in a month.

Thank you. It does take a lot of work. Should have seen my eyes bulge when the bill arrived! Well worth it though.
