60-66 paint ideas.

Hi all -

I am getting towards the end of my project (i'll post some pics SOMEDAY ) and I'm thinking about paint. Right now I'm thinking the stock paint job (sea foam green looking color with red steel rims) or the brighter color burnt orange or maybe flat burnt orange with a white top and black steel rims. The overall effect of this thing is to be a classic hot rod sorta thing. SO I'm looking for some pics of our trucks with these colors on them. I'm really looking for a swb step side sea foam green pic. (haven't seen many). I'm also looking for any other color ideas you guys have. Maybe I've haven't though of it. Thanks guys!

Alex

Re: 60-66 paint ideas.

I've had many volkswagens that are 2 tone, and I'm sure you could do a search on google that could show alot of 2 tone paint schemes. I'm planning on going to a semi gloss burnt orange or almost peach(real paint with a little flatenerin the clear) with semi gloss or gloss black steel wheels( probably powder coated) or 22"s! Seafoam green and off white or cream is also another sharp color option.http://images.search.yahoo.com/searc...p=mss&ei=UTF-8

Re: 60-66 paint ideas.

Man, I was hoping the pics of the green truck would sell me (thats the original color anyway) but it has only confused me more. Anyone have some burnt orange step side pics? By the way, thanks for the link Kizer. Gave me some good shots of a sea foam green step side. Doesn't seem to be a lot of them around.

Mine originally had the seafoam, but it looks brighter than the one linked above. Orange would be a nice color as well. I am thinking about doing a flat on mine when it's ready. Not sure on a color though.

Orange is always kickass gloss or flat. Mine is hugger orange with clear but flat base would look cool with a white top or maybe silver flake.

That could convert me to step sides, nice truck.

As a S/S or a shortwide, damn nice ride.
Tasteful mods and perfect stance.
And not a belly flopper.
