Another low mileage ebay pickup

Not mine, but I have seen it in person. Owner priced it to me for 4K.

Re: Another low mileage ebay pickup

This truck still has the belt on the smog pump! No idea why it has smog being a Georgia truck but who knows?? One of my buds at work asked me if it was worth $4500 (what the owner had priced it to him for). He told me that the original owner of this pickup lived across the street from his grandpa. The truck has been kept in the dry since it was new and has probably never been over 50mph. When the first owner passed away he left the pickup to his sister. Apparently the current owner knew the right words that talked her in to selling. I had always heard that she would threaten and cuss out anyone that came in the yard asking to buy it. If it was mine it would find it's way on to a swb frame!

I'm definitely not a purist, but I would have to keep that one just the way it is. Worth every penny!

That would make a perfect give a damn country cruiser/chore boy.I`d get put factory caps on it and roll.I had a`69 C/20 Stepside that color with a 396 and hardly any other options.I wish I still had it.Just a beefy farm truck.

I agree... Long steppers aren't for everyone,(I dig them ) but that one is a great survivor, hope it stays intact.

Fantastic price, that would easily be worth double that here in NY.

I really don't know if ebay has a spell-check but I would be shocked if the owner of the truck is the one that listed it. I know that we have lots of board members who are of ....um..of advanced age, but you have to admit that they are the exception. Most guys I know who are of advanced years run like rabbits from a computer. Here's a pic I took with the owner in it.

This truck is now in my driveway! Special K nailed it as a perfect country cruiser choreboy! I am not a total purist but this one will remain a survivor and stay intact as stock and original as I bought it. This past weekend I replaced the shock absorbers, it still had the original Delco's on it. It has a 307 not a 350 as stated in the ad.

Funny, nitpick about spelling in the eBay ad and then spell the word "to" wrong in the same post.

Nice score! What happened the the Black Hub Caps? I also thought in the picture of the core support the tag said 350, but I could be wrong.

I'm glad it found it's way to a good home! I would of liked to of had it...but I don't need it, and I wanted it for a steal, not for what it was worth. That guy tried and tried selling it around here with no luck. I knew once it hit ebay it would be gone. Congrats!!

The black hub caps are in a box in the garage. They are the same as the caps on the truck now, just painted black w/ white bowtie. Will probably put em up for sale on the forum as I do not ned them. The white set are NOS that I pieced together from e-bay. The tune up sticker on the core support has specs for 307, 396 & 350 engines. If the truck had a 350 I figured it would be listed on SPID. I checked casting# on the block (3956632) and it is a 307 according to this website. http://www.ajgeneral.com/sbc_block_casting_numbers/

Here is the rest of the history on the truck that see ten started. The guy who I bought it from owns a mobile home moving service and did some work for the sister of the original owner who inherited the truck. He told her to call him if she ever wanted to sell the truck. About four months later she called and said if you want to buy the truck, come and get it. He only owned it for a few months. A competitor of his was going out of buisiness and he needed the $ to buy up some equipment. All of these trucks have a story don't they?
