Help with OEM Tach Issue! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

does anyone know if there is supposed to be an isolating fiber, plastic, or rubber washer between the rear mounting cup and the "12V" and "COIL" posts. this is not to be confused with the red plastic washers the mount under the spade connectors.

the two posts are going to ground and believe they are suppose to be isolated.

anyone have a factory exploded view of an 8 cylinder tach?

I have a factory set up that was working when I pulled it. I would have to pull the cover to look at it. May take me a few days toget around to it. My brother has my assembly manual, and I am not sure if it is covered there anyway.

thanks wideside. it's not covered in the manual, so taking the backing cup off the tach assembly is really only way to tell.

I'd be very thankful if you could check for me!!
