Re: disc brake conversion
You can use the original inner tie rod ends if you use the conversion sleeves. I believe CPP has them.

Re: disc brake conversion
I agree with John, I tried to use 72 spindles on my 69, and the ball joints have to be changed, and the outer tie rod ends. I figured by the time I did that I could buy some drop spindles, and I did! drop spindles, power disc brakes, 2" blocks in the rear, a new 700r4 with a tilt column SSWWEEETTT

Re: disc brake conversion
I believe you posted the same question over in the suspension forum. I posted a response over there for you. Pretty much the same thing that John said. Here is the response:
The original tie rods won't work with those spindles. You can get outer tie rods for the 72 and buy a special adjuster sleeve that will fit the original inners and the 72 outers. I'm sure the vendors on the board sell them. The ball joint diameters are the same IIRC; the only difference is the taper/length of the stud. When I did mine I used the parts from an '89 burb. I just swapped the control arms over and u-bolted them to the original crossmember. Then swapped in all new burb front end parts. I thought about going the route you are doing but I ended getting the burb for next to nothing. Hope this helps.

Re: disc brake conversion
What about for a 67 LWB? I'm wanting to go from drum to disk (front and back), will I have to change out control arms, etc? I've seen conversion kits on Ebay and they say they have everything you need to convert - but I didn't see control arms or ball joints...
I've posted elsewhere on this forum for rear end conversions so not too worried about a response on the rear end here.
