Yes a small mig is perfect for that job. Do alot reading & research on the paint & body forum. Don't overlap the sheet metal, cut out a section, use that as a pattern then weld it in. Brace the cab before you cut out any cab mounts/rockers/floor pans. If you don't the cab can shift screwing up the alignment of the doors/fenders/cowl/bed...etc. Don't ask me how i know this, because my blood pressure goes up.
