Will they fit on an Gen. 1 SBC?

No, the cooling ports are different. If you notice the intake on a LT1 it has no water ports. The lt1 motor is called a reverse flow cooling system.

From the stuff I've read, you can have the heads reworked and made to fit but it is more expensive than simply buying some decent heads.
