Finally got my truck

Drove it home tonight.
68 swb

Things that are wrong with it that I noticed on the way home.
No wiper switch
Turn signals dont work
Speedo reads about 30mph faster than Im actually going
Fuel gauge doesnt work
exhaust leak and possible fuel leak
brake lights work when they want to and they decide which side will light up
an incredibly annoying squel coming from the cab
Very sluggish when pedal is to the floor. Doesnt seem to downshift when you punch it on the highway. Any idea what that might be?
Have to jiggle shifter to get it to start so I will bypass the nss tomorrow

I'll post pictures tomorrow.
Very little rust paint is a 15 footer

Gonna take a while to get used to manual brakes

Pleasant suprise when I saw it has been converted to disc brakes up front.

Re: Finally got my truck

Yes sounds like the perfect project. Love to see tons of pics. There might not be any kickdown linkage on the carb, thats why it isn't downshifting
