has anyone posted any pics on how they streched the front fender to fill where tire is so when running smaller tires it does not look so bad. any help would be great

I didn't stretch my front fenders, but I dropped the top lip 2 1/2 inches on mine to accomplish something similar in taking up the open space above the tire. Here's a before and after photo of what I did to my fenders awhile back. Let me know if this is what you are referring to:

yea kinda like that but i also want to strech the back and front areas. i like what you did with yours nice job. i want the front fender to look mor like the rears on the fleet side beds. i think they should have been switch front to back to much tire showing up front. if you know what i mean.

Gotcha...I thought the rear fender opening on the Fleetside bed was not large enough for a tall tire and an extreme lowered stance (the control arm pulls the axle centerline forward). So, I stretched the rear wheel opening 3 1/2 inches forward to center a 31-inch tall tire at full drop - and to make it more proportional to the front fender.

Here's the photo right after I finished the rear wheel opening stretch that made me decide to drop the front fender lip.

thanks for the pics vin63 and frizzle fry that is what i was looking for. vin63 i like what you did on the rear wheel wells they just look to small on a fleet side. hey frizzle what a great job on the hole truckwish i could work with metal that good, the front fender arch is what i was looking for it is to large of an opening. when are you going to start back up on that beast? thanks all for the pics and the help

Hey guys,

I've been sick so I didn't see this thread pop back up...

The vette wheels will go away (not my style). They have no spacers in the pics. Those wheels are all backspace (no lip) which I hate. Luckily the front has room for some frontspacing (dish), but the rear may need the fenders widened a tad in order to run a nice dish. We'll see...

As far as the progress goes I actually just lined up a source for the roller channels I need for the one-piece glass. A site vendor is sending me a sample to see if it'll work. But the project won't be making any huge leaps forward any time soon since I'm about to do an engine swap on the sunbeam and I still need to finish the Tahoe....

Haven't finished filling in the gap (only about 10% done). I have a section from another 60-66 bumper I'm using. The plan is to then narrow it and integrate with the front fenders. The increased height (lowered bottom) gives it a little more of a sporty look; a little like an air dam effect.

I really like this look! on the front and rear fenders! Fender Flares!

Has anyone ever extended the rear fenders on a stepside before! I have seen it once at the local dragstrip. It was for the oversized drag tires, but it looked really good! If anyone has done this....post a pic!

Widening it to have room for the Large Drag Tires! Think the guy just took two fenders and extended it so he would have room for the wide meats! It was an Pro/Mod Class!

I've seen them sold that way; 3" wider. They even sold steps that were made to fit the wider fenders. Can't remember where I saw them. I'm sure someone will come through with a link.
