All right cab light guys, I need guidance here
I'm about to put a set of cab lights on my 3/4 ton which didn't have them factory.
 How did you run the wiring ? I'm thinking I might be able to pull the driver side sun visor out and fish the wires through the hole, but how did you run them down the pillar to the dash ? Front or rear pillar ? I have a factory headliner in my truck and it's nice, so I really don't want to disturb it to drill holes behind it.

From the ligths that I have removed, the wiring harness ran down the driver side front windshield pillar, there is a hollow access point that allows the wire to go all the way down and drop out by the e-brake, and the ground wire screws onto the cab body under the steering column.

I have an NOS set of lights and harness. It looks like its installed pretty much the way 72army says...On the pieces that goes down the drivers side pillar the two wire harness has a protective cord type coating and ends in two spade connectors that must plug into the light switch somewhere.

I've been looking all day and darned if I can figure out what little nook they ran them through. It must have been done while spot welding the cab together originally or something.

I put them on a truck that didn`t come with them.It`s been so long,but I`m pretty sure I ran the wire up the windshield post.I remember removing the visor and pulling through the whole,then pulling whole to whole.

I will try and get some pics. It is much easier once you hae the holes on the roof cut. I might even have some pics on the home computer.

Andy, I finally got fed up with it and ran the wire inside the door seal from the dash to the top. Then I drilled a tiny hole and ran the wire into the cavity on top of the cab and through to the sunvisor hole.
Tomorrow, I start fishing the individual cab light wires to the sunvisor hole and connect them all to the power wire.

ok for the lights on the roof of the truck cabs from the right too the left 3 1/8 in the front 25 in the mindly 2 all too the left 3 1/8

i'm getting ready to do this too. i don't think you can go up the rear pillar. there is a pinch weld along the roof back there. i was going to try a fish tape inside the driver pillar.
the mice have to get up there somehow....
