LOL! I saw that photo, and I thought you were someone else all together!
You say almost rustfree.... what do you mean, just a small hole from the battery dripping (common in every climate) or surface rust from worn paint...
The rust is what'll make a $500 front clip into a $50 front clip

Longhorn Man, concidering it is got some rust from the battery dripping (not bad like I've seen) U still think its worth around $50? Is that what U are telling me? Then again, are U saying a perfect rust free clip is worth around
$500?

Putting a price on a nice clip is hard. That all depends on who you get one from. Some are reasonable and others think they are made out of gold. Look around and see what you can find. I believe you can get a complete front clip repop now. May take a little bodywork and refitting but not bad considering it will be all new sheetmetal.

Re: How much is fair for a 67-68 front clip?

I've been known to exadurate for effect...
The prices can go from one extreem to another. If you locate one that is truely in perfect shape, it could go for way more than that.
Location accounts for a lot of it too.
Just so you know.... you are permitted to post a what's it worth thread... since you are looking to buy the item. If you already owned the clip, and you were looking to sell it, then you are not permitted to ask it's value. That's just a way around the rules and then sales are made in private message
So if you have photos of it, post them and lets see what the masses say.

Hey Don,, new sheet metal sound great, (but as u would know, nothing beats factory sheetmetal ) I really hate that taiwan made stuff! The front clip that Im after is from an original 67 truck, the owner is asking 450 for it, or
1200 for the whole truck ( bed is trashed, cab is ok ) Im seriously thinking about making him an offer for the whole truck (longbed)

I sold one for a friend of mine here on the board. I can't remember if it was a 67 or 68 clip though. He wanted $400 for it and it was about as perfect as you could expect to find. It sold quickly!

Re: How much is fair for a 67-68 front clip?

A couple years ago, I sold a clean and straight, rustfree front clip for a '73 for $200... had no bumper or grill, but hood and fenders, etc were all in very good shape.
