700r4 question.
What year model of the 700r4's can be bolted straight up to a older 350 and not have to have any of the 700r4 wiring to run it. It can bolt up just like a turbo 350 and 400.

Re: 700r4 question.
The 82-92's, but you will still have to hook up the torque convertor lockup wiring.

Re: 700r4 question.
IIRC Up thru the early 90's had a mechanical speedo, however, any 700R4 will need the TV cable for proper shifting. Also, even the early 700's used an electronic lockup. You will need to make a few connections to get this working properly.
Don't be intimidated, you will be very happy with the swap. I am running a 89 Suburban 700 in my 68 with the stock TV cable and a B&M lock up kit. It includes all wiring and connectors, a speed sensor that runs off the speedo cable, and a small box with a knob that lets you "dial" in when you want it to lockup.
