A fathers request....
I know this is an off topic post and the forum mods will probably move it somewhere else but this is my request. My two sons will be deploying later this year, One for Afghanastan and the other to Iraq. I am very PROUD of these two for helping to defend this country. So even if your against this war, PLEASE join with me in praying for their safe return home and that no harm comes to them while they are over there. Thanks

Re: A fathers request....
They will be in my prayers as are all of those who serve our country in the military.
It does not matter if we approve or disapprove of the war as you say. Their sacrafice is real and they should be praised for serving. I was in the military in the 60's and can relate to what they are going through. Danny |

Re: A fathers request....
Done! There was not a day that our son was deployed that we did not pray for the safe return of him and his fellow soldiers. It was the longest 13 months of our lives. I am glad he is home safe.
No matter what our beliefs are about wars, there is no excuse not to support the folks who fight them. That kind of courage and sacrafice is what we need more of in this country. I encourage my employer to capatilise on this experience base and hire veterans, every chance I get. |

Re: A fathers request....
Prayers for them, all the other men and women fighting, and you! My kids are too young to join the military but my son (who's 5) marches around the house with his toy gun on his shoulder saying "I'm a Marine like you were daddy".
