Re: Any Dash Ideas
Sorry for the confusion. I don't currently have the vacuum gauge. It's the blank, and I want to put a clock in it. I just like the functionality that it offers.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
Saw this in JOHNORO's Blazer at the C10 Get Together in @water. It looks like it's about the right size (maybe 3") and it's made buy AutoMeter but I can't find it online anywhere. I'd want it black though.
The search goes on.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
Egauges shows Autometer making several clocks in 3 3/8” size, although none of the models listed have a photograph, and I don’t see them offered at Jegs or Summit:

These two threads should answer your questions. If not let me know. I routinely add more details as new questions come up. Regards, Mark.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
I've been banging around this idea:
White led digital gauges I think would blend in nicely.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
'63 cluster before & after paint - spare piece of sheetmetal and autometer gauges. Kept the layout similar to stock, plus the tach. No turn signal indicators, I wired them into the two left and two right gauges so they blink.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
It's well worth it though, especially with your dash. It will make it look complete.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
This is just an edit I did in MS paint, but I'm having a real 160 mph speedometer and 10k tach made for my '66.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
It will look just like that, with an air gauge added in the left pod for my air bags' tank.

Re: Any Dash Ideas
I didn't see where anyone mention they 'needed' a 10K tach?? Some guys like the 10K display; others don't. I don't care for a 200mph speedo range when I know I won't come near it. Same for the tach; 8K will do for me & even that's excessive....

The engine will be a LS2 with ported LS3 heads, four Weber IDA's on an Inglese manifold, solid lifter cam, shaft mount rocker, larger diameter pushrods, etc. It will redline around 8500 rpm so an 8K tach wouldn't be adequate. I'll also be taking the truck to open track practice days and with around 650 hp it won't have a problem making use of the 160 mph speedometer on bigger tracks... So in this case I do need a 10K tach. I had a guy build the 10k tach to fit in a stock cluster, still waiting on the speedo lens to be printed.
