I am thinking about buying this Big Block!

The 69 truck is not running but turns. The seller wants $1,000 firm for it and has original title. I would buy it only as in investment to resell and repair my 68 Longhorn. Please click on link for pictures and tell me what you think.

Thank you.

Here is a link to one that runs for the same kinda money: http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/1014921579.html
Now could you be so kind and pass along the contact info for the non-running beater that you found?

Did the PO know why it doesn't run? Is it totally blown? If not, I would take it off your hands for the right price.

Re: I am thinking about buying this Big Block!

That looks like a fair deal for a project big block truck.

It looks like it has the usual suspect rust areas in the rockers but we see guys on here post of a lot worse that they have drug home for a lot more every day.

As for myself it would depend on if I had the disposable cash available to pay for it and a secure place to keep it without neighborhood homeowners associations horning in.

As for the truck it looks like it is well worth 1000 from here but buying it to make money on it may be a challenge if you don't know what is wrong with the engine.

Nice sheet metal. I would say the price is generally high for a non-running truck in the NW. It is an unmolested big block truck however and that certainly has some appeal. In this market...I am not sure anything is a good investment if you are looking for a quick return.
