Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Nothing special on mine. 2" blocks in the rear and the front torsion bars backed off a bit in the front to level it out. All done by PO.
I would like to go a little a lower in the future, but I have never done any suspension work before and may need a little advice from you guys....

Thanks, Purrs really nice and sounds even better when you give it some gas. PO had them under the cab and you could not hear anything, I always get comments on how good it sounds and its quiet in the cab too.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Front - cut 1 1/2 coil and zipped off the bump stop brackets
Rear- removed 5 of the 8 leaf springs. Like most others, I forgot to put the tape from ground to center of wheel well before dropping to get the actual inch of drop. damn

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Ok so I have to ask.... for those running Jeep coils.... and please be honest.... hows the ride quality? Ive heard its not bad.... but you just cant haul anything is that true? Im thinking of a 5.5/7 static drop for the 66 and this is an option....

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!
Malibu, I'm running CPP 3" drops in the rear and I have to tell you that, in my opinion, based on what I've been reading, they are simply jeep coils in disguise. The wire size is a fraction of my original springs. Yes, they ride great, but they don't have any carrying capacity, I ended up investing in air bag helpers so I could haul stuff once in a while. For all I spent, I would have had a good start on a true airbag system.
