Fuel-maxxperformance

ok like alot of people on here from what i understand i search on ebay. or evilbay lol

im also the owner of a 2001 1500 silverrado z71 and i ran across this

this thing called Fuel-Maxx some sort of chip or something its like 22$ was wondering if its a joke or if someone here has heard about it

A guy I work with bought something similar for his Pontiac Aztec. It was $20ish and claimed better mileage, horsepower and starting. I advised against it as there were no details of what it really was. It was advertised as a chip, but no details as to where it went, plugged into or how big it was. When he got it, it was a giant resistor or capacitor (can't remember which) that was suppost to be soldered into the ECM and it suppost to lean the fuel mix.

He didn't install it

I would have to say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
