Poll: Project Blue Revisited...

Hey fellas... decide the fate...

I am currently rebuilding a 50 chev truck on the otheer side of the forum. Below is a picture of my 71. After I finish the 50, I am thinking about making some changes/updates to the 71, cause after 10 years... I am a little bored with it. Currently the truck is static 4/6 with a 427BB and auto...

SO... You guys make the call. Whatever we choose, I will start ordering parts so that I can complete the whole changeover in 30 days or less!! All of course posted on the forum...

Option 1: Full DM treatment front and rear. 427 getting replaced with fuel injected 450hp 6.0L LSX.

Option 2: Full DM treatment front and rear... no changes to motor...

Optoin 3: Leave it as is.... spend my money of wifes 69 firebird restoration(btw, this is getting done anyways...)

Re: Poll: Project Blue Revisited...

Looks good to me, too. I would entertain installing a tonneau cover on it, if it was mine. Maybe change the wheels if I was tired of the look.....but it looks good in my opinion. What's happening with the Firebird? BTW have you seen an electric trunk release for the '67-69 F-bodies? I have one stashed, left from my '67 Sprint F-body.

Re: Poll: Project Blue Revisited...

I dunno how you live with a beautiful truck like that with a 427 for power, how boring...lol. Get the bird done first and then enjoy your stable. I bet your wife would like to see it get prioritized anyway.

Re: Poll: Project Blue Revisited...

DM = Porterbuilt Dropmember

If it were my truck, I would run it like it is and enjoy it. But... after seeing such trucks as crawdad's '77 and others, the DM is quite a setup and definitely sets you apart from the rest.

Curiousity.... what drop is currently on the '71?

Also, if you decide to run the DM, would you end up cutting the floor or raising the floor?

Re: Poll: Project Blue Revisited...

build the bird.If you absolutely have to do something with the truck piced, then drop it a bit,I personally think it would look better with those big inch wheels.Very nice truck though.

Too bad I can see the curb. I bet you don't need a jack to change the oil, jeez...

Drop it some more, enjoy the ride.
