I think I'll do something like tha chain thing instead of swapping out all the parts needed for an inside latch setup. Any pics would be great..

I'm thinking of attaching a piece to the lever itself and making it long enough so it'll hang down to the frame/bumper area and have maybe another short piece down there then use a padlock to connect them which would leave the lock kinda hidden by the bumper.
Unlocking it would take a few more seconds but it's like insurance, "pay a little now or alot later" if a thief happens upon the truck. Yes of course if they want something they'll get it somehow but for the casual thief or troublemaker it'd be a deterrant. better than them just being able to open the hood and wreak havoc or swipe a battery/MSD box/carb/etc..
