I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
ok so i will be finally starting on my project and now comes the decision of what cab i should use. i have a 67 small window cab and a 70 large window cab, i am bagging the truck over a set of 20/22 intro wheels, and it'll have an ls1/th350 for starters...the small window cab needs 1 cab corner replaced, and possibly 1 rocker, and it has rust along the driprail but it isn't bad rust..it just needs to be wire wheeled and cleaned off the metal and there are a few spots here and there on the cab that need previous owner welds ground down smooth. Now for the big window cab, that needs the whole floor replaced due to the PO who couldn't weld for crap and made stupid patch panels and booger welded everything together and same with both cab corners/rockers and a patch along the pass footwell.....now that u know what condition the cabs are in and what they are....which one would u use and which one would look right on a bagged/big wheeled c-10?

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
You'll get mixed responses with this! The large window is more popular, and most people would probably prefer it. This would probably help with resale value. However, there are people like me who love the small rear window, so I'd stick with it. It basically boils down to what you like best.

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
It comes down to your preference. We all have our likes and dislikes. I own a 70 so I am biased towards that year. If you go with your instincts...you can't go wrong. Good Luck.

I prefer and like the big window better!!!!
However I am looking into buying a 67 with a small window and stepside just for the heck of having two trucks..

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
my vote is for a west coast vacation and a u-haul for the trip home with a cab that needs a lot less work.

I like Jerry's way of thinking but if you have to work with what you've got start with the best one.

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
Tough choice, but you just don't see a lot of small window cabs used.

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
I like the big window personally. But what i need to know is what front end are you using. If you are going with 69-72 front then I would use the big window. If you use the 67-68 front then use whatever cab you want. I don't think it will look correct with small window & 69-72 front. Just my opinion but either one will get with 20/22 grounded.

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
I think good advice would be to always use the best sheet metal you have available-let that make your choice. The mechanicals on trucks are fun, the body work and rust repair are not fun and is what bogs down the project for me-choose the better cab and go on with the rat-killin'

Re: I need everyones opinion on this!!!!
i will be using the 67-68 front clip as well....and because tripro came out with a full floor it makes the "workload" just about the same for both cabs...hmmm, patsfan you'll be the first to know if i do end up selling the cab.
