Found a survivor

I am somewhat new to the board. I recently sold a 1970 chev k10 I bought 14 years ago when I was 16 and bought this 71 off craigs list a week later with the proceeds. It's a 71 c20 custom camper. It has 83k original miles, almost no rust (minus drivers rocker and some surface rust). It is pretty well optioned with air, tilt, bb, ect. The guy I bought it from was the third owner who got it from his grandfather 17 years ago. He gave me the factory build sheet, original owners manual and protecto plate. I think I made a pretty good buy at $2500. As soon as I paid the man I jumped in it and drove it home 400 miles with no problems except for a fuel filter that clogged up a couple times. I plan on getting some fresh paint on her but other than that keeping it original. Just thought I would share. Here are some pics. Does anyone know a source for 8 lug rally type or original looking wheels?

Thanks for the replies! I bought it off craigs list. I don't think it was on ebay but I guess it could have been and I just didn't see it.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Found a survivor

Nice truck, you can always put the newer 8 lug Chevy factory aluminum wheels off the newer 01-02, 03 etc trucks. I installed them on a 70 3/4 ton I had it they looked nice. I've seen the wheels on craigslist.

Re: Found a survivor

Was this on montana craigslist?? Nice pickup for the money, cannot go wrong with that price. Did you see the longhorn 1 ton for 8500 in roundup on craigslist?

Re: Found a survivor

Thanks for the replies. I am currently disassembling so I can get a fresh coat of ochre/white on it asap.

68350: I didn't see the roundup longhorn. Was it in good shape? I suppose it probably was if they were asking 8500. Didn't you have a recent post with a truck you bought? If I remember right it was a montana truck in great shape.
