Noise in radio
My 02 ZR2's radio started making a constant staticy noise that doesn't really sound like spark plugs or motor noise as I know of it. You can actually just about tune it out so that it is not as noticable. It is on different stations, not just one station so reception is out. I am lost as to what it is.

Re: Noise in radio
Yeah, check the grounds, including engine block and all that good stuff.
Does the static increase with volume?

Re: Noise in radio
I'll have to check it out. Not sure how to even get into it. And I worked on an assembly line for 18 years.

Re: Noise in radio
So taking it apart is counter-intuitive?
Also, does it happen when you play CD's?
