I'm a huge fan of blue and silver on these trucks. I want to do blue and silver on my 78. I always thought the factory scheme two-tone with the main body blue, and silver on the sides and top, but its cool to see something different, i'll get to it one day... After the 59, and the crew cab and on and on.

My 85 reprinted with factory color codes. Don't really like how they brought the blue straight to the headlights but oh well.

That 2nd pic is a very pretty truck. I am in the process of painting my 76 GMC and I can't decide on a color. I could go for those colors though. It looks like the 73 burnt orange but the truck doesn't look 73 to me so I'm guessing 79 med saddle. Thanks

Well, I came across some other threads with that truck in it and found out it is russet and buckskin. Nutsforchevys must be nuts to sell that good lookin' truck. There might be another one of those russet trucks riding around pretty soon.

This is another interesting color. Is this 75-76 Dark Gold? Thanks.

I couldn't find a place to introduce myself here. I have been driving these trucks all my life since they were new. My 76 Chevy K20 is a mud bog champ around here. I now drive a 76 GMC K15 with original saddle paint. Since I plan on keeping this truck a long time I don't want to look at that saddle for a long time. I am looking for a livlier color. I have been considering 76 Dark gold, 73 green gold, 80 dk camel, 72 dark olive, and maybe some oranges but not bright tangier orange. I love this forum and have been lurking here for a while.

Officially welcome! The post above was my very first as well! Although I am not new the the forum world. I will probably start a huge build thread for both my 86's soon. But we have other projects including a 57 cameo and 66 ford f-100 with a blower motor 427! ;-)
