front leafs

i have springs out of an 87 blazer that came on my k10, are these good springs to be running or should i replace them?
also is there anything that is different about these springs(like witdh, length) compared to the stock 68 leafs that they replaced?
just trying to learn as much as i can, and also make sure that everything is safely done
thnks
nate

Re: front leafs

I believe the 87 are 47 inches long and the 67 to 72 are 44 inches long

Re: front leafs

how long are the sotck shackles for a 68 k10 suposed to be i measuered the ones that came on my truck are 6.5" long and are 1/4" think, i personaly think they are homemade wil put up a picture tomorow
what does puting a longer shackle acomplish? does it lift the truck?
also is a 6.5" long by 1/4" thick a safe shackle or hould i replace them with ones from diy4x
this truck is not going to be a serious offroader but it will offroad quite a bit and will need to be strong and safe as it will also be my daily driver
thanks
nate
