Question Ground on rag joint

I was looking at my rag joint collection and noticed that some of the joints have a grounding wire or brass strip on them, but not all of them.

Was there any logic to this. I would think that all joints would be grounded. Here is a pic of one that has the ground wire on it.

Any thoughts?

shouldnt it be grounded since it hooks to the frame anyway? Ive never seen that. now Im gonna be out tearing it apart in the dark with a flash light looking to see if I got those lol. not sure man I would think the bolts would ground it

I just put power steering on my truck and my old manual rag joint didn't have one, but the power steering rag joint did? Or was it visa versa? Anyway, that may be why, but I'm not sure? Do you know what type of steering unit each rag joint came off of? It looks like you need whether you had power steering or not. Since it carries the current past the rag joint from the looks of it.

Talking

I cannot associate the rag joints with any specific box. I just thought that it was strange as you would want to ground past the rag joint so that the horn will get good ground. Otherwise ground for the horn has to depend on a good connection through the bearings.
