Flipping a TF front bumper?

I this has been done many times, I see trucks with the bumper flipped.
I've been trying to flip the bumper to pull it closer to the body without success.
Can someone give me a how to on doing this?
Should I leave the brackets the way they are or should I flip the brackets also?

Re: Flipping a TF front bumper?

If you flip the bumper, the brackets have to flip also because the shape of the bumper is not consistent from top to bottom. I flipped my stock bumper after I installed the Camaro clip, and it was more work than I was expecting. That stock bumper is very heavy, and getting it in place and gapped correctly from side-to-side was a pain. It wanted to flop everywhere, so get some help from a buddy. It's a nice look, though.

To get the bumper in closer on my truck I shorten the end off the frame rails and re-drilled the bracket holes.

CAL,

Did you flip it when you shorten the frame rail? You have a camaro clip right?
Which is what I have, it's just a pain get it to go over the lower valance, maybe that is sitting too high.
