Edelbrock carb 1405 is a manual choke. I would recommend a 1406 which is a electric choke. Installation is pretty sraight forward, i like to cut the heads off two bolts and screw them into one side of the block heads. When you do that you can set the gasket on the studs and ensure its lined up. Put the gasket on the oppoiste side and apply a small amount of ht silicone to hold it in place. Set the intake on at an angle with the studded side sliding down first. Then rotate till its in place. Start all the bolts before you remove the studs. Secure to torque specs.

Re: intake carb help

I like to use a remote starter switch to get the motor to TDC, removing the #1 spark plug and feeling for the compression stroke, makes it easier to stab the dizzy.

Re: intake carb help

ya I thought about getting an eletric choke but I thought it would just be somthing else that might act up in the future so I was just trying to keep it simple, any opinions on if the EPS intake is worth the money vs. performer
