Score ... went to an awesome garage sale today ... Thanks HUCK!

So me, Ron 586, my buddy RJ, and and my son Shelby jumped in the sub this morning at 4:15AM and headed off to the garage sale of garage sales.

I'd like to thank Huck for the hospitality, great sales, lunch, and putting up with me and my son Shelby!!!! Shelby has a touch of the smart @$$ ... not sure where he gets it from!

Hot topics included:

1. How I was going to fit everything in my sub.
2. Something about a corvette going through a back window
3. Rons meet coming up in July
4. Cookies

Here are a few pics, enjoy. I know we enjoyed being there.

Looks like you guys had a great time. I hope that everything went as well as planned for Huck and the garage sales to beat all garage sales. I only wish we could have made the treck...

Most excellent pics.
Looks like a good time was had by all.

But I gotta ask.....who's the elderly looking bald guy with the camera hanging off his neck; 5th pic, 1st post & then several others?

Re: Score ... went to an awesome garage sale today ... Thanks HUCK!

I picked up a couple of consoles for me, one for my buddy, a 700r4 trans, and Ron's Roll Bar. A few other small things, NEW Arm Rest, NEW dome lamp assembly, NEW wiper blade inserts, AC Controller ...

Prices were great, and the company was good.

As far as the elderly bald guy with the camera around his neck. No one knew who he was, he just rambled on and on. We did check for an ID bracelet or some form of ID. All we found were coupons for mountain dew!

Only bad part, now thinking about all the other things I should have bought!

Re: Score ... went to an awesome garage sale today ... Thanks HUCK!

That elderly looking bald guy must be a doppleganger to a guy who hangs out on this bulletin board, goes by the name Longhorn Man.However it cannot be him because although you found Dew coupons our Andy would never be caught in pics without said Dew in hand.(Has to do with the licensing agreement he has with Dew)
Looks like a great garage sale and i hope Huck did well, sounds like you did.
BTW Did Ron's snoring help keep you from falling asleep driving?I understand he tends to doze on road trips.

Ron may have dozed a little, but he spared us from any snoring! He was good company, he has a bunch of knowledge and is more than willing to share.

Re: Score ... went to an awesome garage sale today ... Thanks HUCK!

Thanks one and all especially Andy, Mike and Jamie for help with setting up and closing--and of course all the buyers, lookers and visitors. The pizza went fast, the cookies went faster and the console's sold like hot cakes!!
Andy fell asleep in a chair out on the porch last night and Mike and I decided to leave him there---when we saw him this morning he couldn't turn his neck!!! Hummmm
Last I saw of Andy and Mike, they were heading to Louisville to Planet Hollywood-for T- shirts??--they are probably just getting home about now.
I did hear a report of a white slope back truck on Interstate 71 with a orange streamer flying out the back!! hehehehe

As many have said, I too wish it wasn't so far for me. I would loved to have been there, not so much to buy (I have more than I need) but to visit. Huck is there enough stuff left to have another sale?

Re: Score ... went to an awesome garage sale today ... Thanks HUCK!

i do have some pics, but it'll probably be a day or two on those. As normal, I hardly hit the door and my junk thrown on the floor when everyone starts pullin me in eleventy billion directions.
I totally agree... it was a great time.
Lets see... some things left out;
1. my neck is still sore
2. that litle red scooter will pull the front wheel and throw you off the back when you hit second... ask me how I know(or huck's neighbor who is the only witness).
3. Lotsa great deals, I got the windshield and new rubber, a new 68 fender, 2 boxes of old harnesses, a 67/68 CST horn button, heater (with a/c) under dash control box, an 8 inch wide 5 lug rally wheel (need a spare) ... and probably a couple other things I am forgetting, all for about 200. Yeah, you guys missed out.
4 huck and his wife are awesome. I haven't been treated so nice since... well, ever. (with the exception of making me sleep on the back porch
5 the hard rock knew mike and I were coming, so they blocked off the street, had police and fire fighters there, and a huge cake that feeds 1500 people.

Huck, let us know you you need assisitance out there again, I know if I am able, I'm there.

Oh, and I was supposed to be at work saturday... I think this was more fun though.

And my neck still hurts.
