San Diego C10

Hey!
Thought Id join the forum and learn a few things! We just finished our first Chevrolet project and weve been having a blast driving it around. Our 67 C10 longbed barn find had been restified a bit in the arly 80s then left to sit until last year. We found it and got it on the road, but the 307 didnt last very long. After going through the suspension and brakes, we did the next logical thing: Fuel injection! The EFI worked great with the 307 until the cam flatted, but the '89 350 we dug up works a lot better. Had to put a posi in the 3.73:1 diff though ... Still working on the body and interior, and the fence post wood bed could use replacement...
Glad to be here!

Hey, I am new as well from the San Diego area! Your truck at the Del Mar Show was by far my favorite ride, even got me to try and resurrect my 81 C10, just picked up a 350 the other day. I still gotta hear your truck run, I missed it at the show

Thanks!
We had a good time at the show. Next time well be there in the Mfg. Midway so they dont boot us out! The truck runs better than it has a right to based on the selection of parts its made from! Weve been tracking mileage (driving it 60 miles/day, 5 days a week) and its getting over 18 and under 20mpg. Weve been fighting a "mystery" 5K rpm limiter, but the torque and hp numbers were decent! Still looking for a bail of hay for the bed though!
Well be hanging out at the Encinitas rod night on the 18th of June (next week). They have band and Coast highway turns into a big car show for the evening starting at E street. Festivities start around 4:00pm or so. See you there?

Jay,
Now that Im signed up as a vendor, I can say: We sell the system! We used our C10 as the prototype. Its based on the Edelbrock 3 deuce manifold and our billet high flow throttlebodies and fuel rails. We modify the manifold inside and out and set it up for multi barrel EFI. We used a Painless Delphi system to run it. Not the cheapest way to go by any means, but you get the variable runner length for torque and mileage (center throttle body) and then you progressivley open the short runner outer barrels for seamless top end performance! Mileage on this truck was key since its a daily driver!
