Re: 68 project
It was on when you were at the shop but I only had temporary screws holding it into place, I wanted under the cowl to be protected with something that would hold up so I cleaned it up good and brushed it with por 15 good and heavy. Plus I am going to modify a drain to come out under the cab to prevent getting clogged and running down into the inner side of the fender.

Re: 68 project
I know right I did get some grinding done on the gate and a skim coat on the other tub though. So they were not totally forgotten

Re: 68 project
The tailgate needs a little more work than I expected but it will be a survivor, sand blasting tends to open up things that could nt be seen before
Hopefully in about three weeks the bed will be completed and ready to bolt down permanently but there is still a good bit of work it is the small things you tend to forget that slow you down, I will have to get my fuel lines and brake lines bent and mounted before reinstalling any of the body. I will be removing the cab here before long so I can finish up the body work on it and get it painted and ready for permanent install.

Re: 68 project
Yeah I had 20 hours body work on the inside and outside of my tailgate. Wish I would have bought a new one. But not now. All original.
Looking good man. Love the wood floor. |

Re: 68 project
I was looking at the efi tank and whew !! 750 was out there but yes a work of art it is, the guys at the cabinet shop were even amazed at the quality of the tank and the welds that were on it, simply amazing.

Re: 68 project
Dish used to do a lot of cars at Bowman Gray. I see his truck time 2 time. I think he does both vinyl and painted. I would think just about any local sign shop could make any stencil you would need. Glad to see parts showing up. Keep on keeping.

Re: 68 project
Yes, I just need the stencil as I am doing my own paint and bodywork and will be spraying them on myself then clearing over. My clear coat should be here the end of this week
